Moving Along

Now that the first piece has settled down a little, I've been working on the second part of the painting. It involves a profile shot with the same palette. The size of the canvas is slightly different: 36x48 as opposed to 48x48. I felt like it would make the larger picture more interesting after its framed. For this piece, I accidentally used Belgian Linen as my surface and have been regretting it. Maybe I'm not using it correctly or theres something I should do to prep the surface before applying the acrylic but the paint dries almost immediately and doesn't give me a lot of work time. I'm not sure what the end result would be but now that I've begun already, I might as well continue and see where it takes me. (note to self: do a little reading about Belgian Linen tonight). Here's whats going on in the studio
